Akinyele Local Government Welcomes New Executive Members of the Editorial Community Development Service

The Editorial Community Development Service (CDS) group in Akinyele Local Government has proudly appointed a new set of executive members for the upcoming year. The recent appointment ceremony, held at the Local Government Secretariat, marks a new chapter for the CDS as it aims to enhance its initiatives and impact within the community.

The newly appointed executives bring a wealth of experience, enthusiasm, and commitment to the group. The leadership team is composed of individuals who have demonstrated exceptional dedication to community service, journalism, and capacity building. 


The newly appointed executive members include:


- President: Taiwo Oluwatomisin

- Vice President II (Admin/mini heads): Iluyemi Mary 

- Public Relations Officer: Olabode Samson

In her acceptance speech, President Busayo Tofio expressed gratitude for the trust bestowed upon her and emphasized the importance of teamwork in achieving the CDS's goals. “Together, we can make a significant difference in our community through impactful projects and programs,” she stated.

Busayo highlighted the need for innovative approaches to engage and empower the youth of Akinyele. “Our focus should be on building a strong network that fosters collaboration and creativity among members. Pls aim to organize workshops, seminars, and community outreach programs that will address pressing issues and enhance collective growth,” Busayo said.




The Editorial CDS plans to implement various initiatives, including:


1. Workshops and Training Sessions: Providing members with valuable skills in writing, editing, and media production.

2.Community Outreach Programs: Engaging with local schools and organizations to promote literacy and awareness about important social issues.

3.Collaborative Projects: Partnering with other CDS groups and NGOs to amplify the impact of their initiatives.


The ceremony concluded with an invitation to all interested individuals in Akinyele Local Government to join the Editorial CDS and contribute to meaningful community development efforts. With the new leadership at the helm, the Editorial CDS is poised for an exciting year ahead, driven by the shared vision of empowering the community through knowledge and creativity.
