AKINYELE NDLEA CDS Group Sensitizes Green Hill College Against Drug Abuse

In a commendable effort to combat drug abuse, the AKINYELE NDLEA CDS group conducted a sensitization program at Green Hill College, located on Pebore, Barracks Road, Moniya, Ibadan. Green Hill comprises both a Nursery and Primary School (Auntie Tola) and a Secondary School.

Michael Oluwadamilare Adio, the president of the NDLEA CDS group (State Code: OY/23C/3134), expressed gratitude to the school management for allowing the group to engage with the pupils and students. In his speech, Adio highlighted the severe consequences of drug abuse and urged the students to avoid such harmful behaviors.
Adio explained that drug abuse often starts with an experimental or trial phase and warned the students to stay focused on their studies, resisting any attempts to introduce them to drugs. He also addressed the issue of drug misuse, emphasizing the importance of completing prescribed doses and following doctors' instructions to prevent further health complications.

The pupils and students pledged to stay away from hard drugs and to become advocates against drug abuse. The event concluded with the launch of a WADA (War Against Drug Abuse) club at Green Hill College, which will hold monthly meetings to continue the advocacy.
